Atty. Philip C. Lizarda joined MPLaw in October 2021 and worked his way up the ranks as a budding legal researcher. He was admitted to the Integrated Bar in 2022.   

   

Philip received his Juris Doctor degree from the UP College of Law in 2022 where he was awarded as a student achiever for School Year 2020-2021. He received his degree BS Management, Major in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2017 and was part of the Executive Board of numerous local and international organizations. He was a consistent DOST Youth Excellence in Science Awardee for winning local and international science and mathematics competitions, and has proven his leadership and mentoring skills as coach and lecturer. He graduated valedictorian both elementary and high school from San Beda Alabang.  

  

Philip has advised and represented clients in numerous civil, criminal, labor, corporate and tax concerns, as well as draft commercial agreements and negotiations. His practice covers a wide variety of matters ranging from civil and criminal litigation, tax protests, appeals, intellectual property, and real estate transactions.   

 

He is developing a focused practice in intellectual property law, with particular interest in trademark and patent registration, copyright protection, technology and content licensing, and IP enforcement.  He aims to assist creators, startups, and established companies in protecting, managing, and commercializing their intellectual assets.  He intends to advice the Firm’s clients on brand protection strategies, IP due diligence, and the drafting and negotiation of IP-related agreements, with a view or helping businesses and creators safeguard and maximize the value of their intangible assets. 

 

He is a Senior Associate Attorney of the Firm.
