Atty. Jean was admitted to the Integrated Bar in 2022 and joined MPLaw in April 2023.   

  

In 2020, she completed her Juris Doctor degree program at the esteemed University of Santo Tomas. Before this, she had earned her undergraduate degree from Far Eastern University, where she was recognized as Magna Cum Laude for her exceptional academic performance in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Internal Auditing.   

  

With her prior experience as an Accounting Assistant-Controllership at Shopping Center Management Corporation and as an intern at the Metropolitan Trial Court of Quezon City, she has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in managing accounting-related cases.   

 

She provides day-to day legal support to the clients and their key business units, which includes reviewing and drafting of contracts and advising on regulatory and compliance matters. Her expertise extends to conducting legal due diligence for corporate and commercial transactions where she reviews corporate records, material contracts, regulatory permits, and compliance documents to identify potential legal risks, gaps and contingent liabilities.  She has prepared due diligence reports and risk summaries for use by management and transaction teams, and coordinates with various departments to validate information and secure additional documentation.  Her exposure covers due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, investments, and corporate restructuring, supporting clients in making informed decisions and structuring transactions with a clear understanding of legal and regulatory implications. 

 

She also leads the Firm’s team in handling estate matters, including the preparation and processing of estate tax returns, settlement of estate proceedings, and documentation for the transfer of assets.  She also assists in responding to and managing various clients’ tax assessments, from initial evaluation and review of findings to coordination with tax authorities and implementation of compliance measures.   

  

She is a Senior Associate Attorney of the Firm.
